If RTW was to publish a map do you think it would lead to trails like cable, bys, etc (lesser known trails) to become tore up, and abused like sac up is?

I suspect trails get torn up and abused regardless of whether a map is published or not. Sac up is right there and reasonably easy to find. But it also has a number of really established "by-passes" and wide messy areas of the trail. These conditions probably contribute to it being continually trashed. If something already looks messed up, what's the harm in drivnig through it again.

It's frustrating, to be sure, considering people spend a lot of time and effort to block off the messes and keep the trail a trail. But until other vegetation gets established I suspect there will be continual problems with Sac Up getting torn up.

Also, just how many people will have trail maps and how many of those people will disregard efforts to keep to the trails I don't know. So publishing a map may have minimal impact on the contidition and maintenance of the other trails.

I do think it would be good to have a bold note / warning that says something to the effect of: "stick to the trail or they might get shut down".

Oh yeah...I saw the sign at the end of Sac-up last weekend...or least what was left of it laying in the mud.

It was good to meet up with you and Ronda, too. Thanks for showing me the trails. That washout on Lk Isabel trail is something else . . .
