What is the plan for the next work party?

Updates on approval of the trail design?

Any ideas on when we might get to start building them? Or at least get a list of what else needs to be completed?

So does this mean nothing else is planned?

There IS a work party. That is really all we will know until David gives us some goals.

DNR is still working on the Trail Design stuff. None of that can move forward until the permits process is underway. Come to the Focus Group on the 28th and get more info about the trail plans and such.

Let me bounce some ideas off david and see what he thinks, I know for the 4x4s we have to get the trails brushed enough to be able to walk. at least through the sticker bushes
Posible weed around the DNR signs and make them look nice
some signs need to get back up that have been knocked over

Nothing for sure yet but will talk to David and see what he thinks

I cant make it to monroe in time for the meeting. Work and traffic get in the way. Its a long drive up there for me.

Thanks :) Hopefully we can start the brushing of the trails to at least see where the trails will be exactly.

Final marking is going on now for the exact route of the trail. I am hoping with help we can get it done soon. I think it is about 1/2 done. Money and I were out today bustin a move on the trails. I hope that David brings more ribbon tomorrow and we can get more done

Thats great to hear. Thank you and Money for the work.

Please let me know when there is a good reason to drive up there again, or if help is needed.

So for the work party here are some things that are on the list
Creek restoration by the rock garden ( someone drove through the restoration project so we just need to fix that)
DNR sign clean up ( clean up around the signs and possible spread some wood chips )
Put some signs up around the area ( David has a list )
For the 4x4s we need to cut a trail through the black berry patch and one other trail cut in

And explore the new trail layouts

Is there a date set? This weekend perhaps?

I'd be happy to help cut trail.

Wow what a day and thanks for the efforts of the people that showed up. We got a couple more trails marked today. I think there is only one more trail to mark and they are all marked

Hi All:

No problem Charlie, it is always a good day spent up at Reiter on trail development and/or restoration work! :)

Too bad more RTW folks did not show-up! :(

Besides you & me there was only two other RTW folks ( Zuk88 & 98RedTJ) IIRC.

That said, the handfull of volunteers we had up there did *a lot* of brush clearing!! :D

Regards,

Alan
