Do you people (RTW members) want change here or are you OK with things how they are? For years I've witnessed RTW be stagnant and not get a whole lot accomplished as a result. Are you OK with just patting each other on the back and saying "great job" when in reality you know the person probably meant well but went nowhere? Are you OK with the current click of members and think everything will get done without new people getting involved?
These are serious questions. Don't read into them or read between the lines as there is nothing there.
I would really like to know as there are other avenues I could persue if you guys are fine with things like they are.

Rick,

I have only been involved with RTW since around March and have seen some really positive things done. This is why I have become a member and gotten involved. I have also seen some of the wheel-spinning that you are ointing out. This is ALSO why I've gotten involved. My contribution to our last meeting was helping Ted get pictures of what the current conditions are at Reiter and printing maps and the info for the DNR plan so attendees could see what was happening. There are changes coming with the elections and as more users get involved. I have personally made it my mission to try to get some of the other user groups to get involved. It is not easy since the Dirt Bike crowd has seen the 4X4 guys destroy their trails over and over again.

I will agree there has been issues with rtw in the past but on the same hand we have made a posative impact weather you believe it or not. talk to the dnr guys and see what they say.
if we had not done the work parties we have and the clean up runs ect ect ect reiter would have been closed a long time ago.
I am not saying that rtw is the only group that has made a posative aspect but we have made a posative impact.

there is measures at this time being taken to change things in rtw.
how about you watch how things change and quit judging from what has happened in the past and help make a better future.

All fine and dandy guys but you're not answering the questions. Again don't read into it what isn't there.

If you dont want people to read to much into it maybe you should have been more straight to the point.
no we are not all happy with things the way they are right now and that is why we are making changes.
The only thing you see if what is on here and the one meeting you came to this month. you have not been there for all the personal discussions between member or at other rtw meeting and seen what we have talked aabout and what we have decided needs to change.
this is exactly what i am talking about by stiring the pot, if you do not know the inner working of what is happening then dont put it out there thinking that you do.
you DO NOT know everything about what is happening in rtw therfore you have no right to say what we are or are not doing at this time.

You're reading into things again. I posted only questions.
Please keep my thread on topic.

I do however take offense in you calling RTW a Click. I'm a newcomer and was welcomed openly. If it truely was a "Click" then that wouldn't have happened. Especially since I have a mallcrawler and I'm mainly a DirtBiker.

I read things like "changes" are happening with the RTW.

Can you elaborate on what these changes are? It's the secrecy that makes this a "Click" as Rick mentioned previously.

The last meeting was the 1st time I ever attended a meeting where non-members had to leave. Having the "members only" meetings are not something that should be combined with the Public meeting at Alfy's.

It's puts everyone on two different playing fields. A seperate meeting should be scheduled for "members only" or you can conduct those in your members only section on this forum.

Sort of goes along the lines of "not airing your dirty laundry in public"...it doesn't look good.

The secrecy was nothing more than us getting our elections and bylaws figured out. It wouldn't be something that non-members would have any input on and is why it was held afterwards. I do agree that we need to seperate these things but the hard part is we all have lives and jobs. We discussed having a private member meeting for elections before the normal meeting but some can't make an earlier meeting. Our private meeting was nominations for candidates as well as creating a bylaws group and creating set deadlines for each of these. We WILL have a final set of bylaws by the end of the year. We WILL have new leadership on Jan 1st. We WILL have more multi-user participation in the coming year. We had a really good turnout at the last meeting and I think that should show that we have some changes started. Crash and myself have been active with getting the dirtbike crowd involved and the fact that there were many of them at the meeting was awesome. I'm trying to get in touch with ATV/UTV users now so we can get them onboard as well.

I am not an RTW member but I am on alot of other forums and see this is not productive. As is alot of other threds you have started. I have always seen RTW as a positive. Look at the brighter side. Things can only get better.
