Greetings RTW!

I just wanted to remind you all that I am planning on a few rigs coming up to the bridge across May Creek on the 4th and tearing it out of the stream. This will be a free pass north of May Creek, but only for those who help me.

Also, it would be great if you could bring:
hammers
crow bars
pry bars
cable cutters
maybe even a torch to cut the cables

I want to dismantle all the metal pieces as good as we can and haul them out.

I will be out of town from Weds evening until Sat evening, so if anyone has questions, please call my cell @ 360-333-5741

Thanks,

David Way

I copied this message from David to the NW-W Forum, RTW Round Table Thread for those that may not come here and see it.

I also posted that if I can schedule it with other Clean Up Duties I would like to assist with this as it will be the only chance I have to see the other side of May Creek. (Legally and not on foot)

Just a little update:

I went up to the bridge yesterday and was able to dismantle all the cyclone fencing. I would like to winch a few of the old log stringers out and then have a couple rigs tow out the bundle of fencing and lengths of cable.

This shouldn't take all morning, therefore we can spend some time picking up trash on the north side of May Creek since we will already be there.

See you Sunday,

David

This work effort for David Way of DNR is NOT and open invitation to go north of may creek with a 4x4, ATV, Motorcycle, or any other motorized connivance.

Only people and vehicles WITH David Way, are going to be legal on the North side of May Creek, and only so long as it takes to accomplish the work needed there.

All others will be subject to receiving citations, which are not good things to acquire, so please do not temp the powers that be!

Good Crew assigned and all the work accomplished that David Way was looking at and all the Fencing Materials removed to the trash dumpster.

My thanks to all that took part, it was a great day and a lovely area to visit for the first time. Hope one day it will reopen so others can enjoy the trails and wonderful sights to see along the way.
